Being Indian – The sudden patriotic wave…

Few days before Independence day or Republic day, many people of this country suddenly become patriotic. They want to show that they care about country and so proud of calling themselves as a citizen of this country. And just after the Independence day or Republic day passes by they get back to your usual business and forget that there is a country called India and they are proud citizens of that country.

This year people have gotten even patriotic as they started keeping Indian Flag on their display pictures in Whatsapp, Viber and other social medias. Before I get into the details lets have three questions

1. Are we paying taxes properly if we are into working category? Making proper uses of scholarship / Benefits if we are in student category?

2. Are we respecting and protecting our women?

3. Do we stand against Injustice or even raise our Voice about the same?

I don’t even want to get into the legalities of using the National Flag as per our interest, without knowing that there are certain rules and respect that needs to be paid to a National Emblem.

Lets first understand one thing, that Being Indian is a state of mind.  You need to be in that around the clock and every day of the year. It doesn’t come and go off like seasons.

We should first do things the right way and not the easy way. It starts from things as simple as standing in queue in a railway reservation counter to buying an Indian product.

I personally made a vow not to eat in foreign food chain restaurants and not to have foreign company made soft drinks and been following it religiously for last 1.5 years. Even in cloths I prefer to buy Indian made brands instead of International brands.

How many of us do that? We see people saying proudly that they are Pizza in one of the major Pizza restaurant chain or had burger in another international food chain. How many of us would have seen the value of the food that we are getting for the money that we are paying for it? Not to mention the soft drinks whose manufacturing cost is less than 2 rupees whereas it is sold at five folds of its profit.

How many of us would do things in government offices the right way? without paying bribes? Those students who claim to be proud of being an Indian, they misuse the scholarships and reservations. We try to make most of the opportunity, when it comes to scholarships and reservation quotas instead of having them passed to the deserving people. We let the best of our country work in private sector serving other countries and have most of the second class and third class good for nothing people working for the government.

Not to mention the people in Government organizations working as though they are Demi-gods. People fail to understand that working in Government means serving the people and society.

Being an Indian means culturally matured and rich, but then that has been degrading fast in the last decade. In the name of development we are losing our identity and getting westernized. Our women whom we see as Goddess and tell that we call our land, tongue as mother tongue and mother land in honoring women. But then do we really respect Women as we say we do? Are we protecting her with all our might?

I remember reading someone someone saying that ” If my education doesn’t serve my society, I will shoot myself”. Are the educated people of this country living such a life? We look up to Che Guvera and Vladimir Lenin but not to Bhaghat Singh or Magakavi Bharathiyaar. What is that we are trying to prove to ourselves or to the world?

Are we raising our voice against Injustice, forget standing up and fighting it to Death. We wouldn’t care to stand up to help a fellow citizen facing injustice. We wouldn’t ask TTR to ask people without reservations to move out of reserved compartments. Somethings as simple as that is causing others to suffer. We wouldn’t ask a person selling more than MRP and tell him that it is against the law. But we will call ourselves that we are proud Indians?

Before calling yourself an Indian, ask yourself what have you done to the country to say you are a part of it. I bet we all wouldn’t have lived a single day without causing something bad to the country. Things can be as simple as throwing a garbage on the road, skipping a traffic signal and so many small small things which we think its OK to do.

We wouldn’t stand up against corruption forget great things we wouldn’t even vote but we will call ourselves Indian. And if people say that, they are doing it because they like doing it. Then the criminals, murderers and rapists too like what they do. We live in a land controlled by law, hence we can’t just do whatever we feel like doing.

If being an Indian means keeping the Indian flag on the display picture, remembering about the country only twice every year, not respecting the rules or working towards a better country and just saying it loud for the sake of saying it loud. Then I prefer to remain Anti Indian

Because I Treated You As Equal, Doesn’t Mean We Both Are At The Same Level…

Just Because I Treated You As Equal, Doesn’t Mean We Both Are At The Same Level…

We come across many people with attitude. Some people have an attitude in a wrong way and some have a wrong attitude all together.

Attitude is a nice and powerful weapon to have in your arsenal but if you don’t know how to use it, you will end up harming yourself.

There are people, who are so full of themselves, they think what they achieved is far greater than everyone else and think they are the Sun to the solar system. I have an attitude, which is far worse than anything you came across but I keep it down most of the times. It’s not because I don’t know how to use that weapon of mass destruction, it’s not because I harm myself trying to use it. It’s because if I use it, the person in front of me wouldn’t be able to handle it.

You think you are so high of yourself, well then think again. What are you?

You are someone took the safest path to success, first time you were heavily backed by finance and the moment you hit a tough road. You ran away, took cover, went underground and forced everyone to help you out of it. Even to put you on the safest path to success you needed help of others?

You buried your history behind and wear a mask, which hides your mess ups. Well given a second chance everyone will succeed. And a second chance a person usually chooses the easiest of the possible roads.

Well if you stayed at your own time and competed with your peers and proven yourself. You can be proud of what you have achieved; you ran a race with people who are younger than you both physically and mentally. Even in that you couldn’t finish first, you were beaten fair and square by youngsters. But you hide that on your cupboard? And still feel proud of what you achieved?

You look down upon someone, claiming them to be dumb and not loyal? You claim yourself to be honest and intelligent? Your scale of intelligence can you proved to negative Maximum, or positive minimum. If you are so intelligent then why did you ran way? You talk about loyalty and honestly, where were these honorable qualities when you were hiding and undercover?

Were you ever been honest to yourself? If you were, then you would have found that you are not even one tenth the man you talk about. Look into your own self, see your own flaws and try to achieve perfection before you think of even pointing fingers at others.

Well had you even thought of anyone else other than your own self, and then you would have known the value of living. You have lived all these years only for you and you alone. You haven’t even shown your real self to anyone else.

You show yourself as what would be acceptable by them, you don’t show them who you are behind your mask. What you project as yourself is not really who you are. You are what you are really, when you don’t have the guts to show your own self to the society, how can you be talking about honesty and all that stuff. First try to be honest to yourself.

Well if you think, what gives me the right to give you all this advice?

I am far better than what you are or what you will ever be?

Lets start a one to one comparison, Lets start from the childhood, you were a spoiled brat from the child, who stuck to ignorance and did what you wanted to do. I was far more spoiled brat than you, but then I listened to people and let them guide me. You want to know, I was far ignorant than you were but I was aware of my ignorance unlike you.

Right from my school days, I knew that I had a tough road ahead and never was afraid of taking a step forward. Even if the whole world declared a war against me I stood with my motto’s and I could tell them out loud too. I competed with people who are physically and mentally ahead of them all the time and I came out with shining colors. What about you?

Have you ever even tried of thinking outside your comfort zone? I wasn’t even given the luxury what you have and I still covered more ground than you isn’t it?

Also remember one thing, I am a certified Genius. I learned the art of understanding, reasoning and logical thinking from the best. And they certified me as one their best students. So I don’t claim who I am just by myself. What about you? You have certifications from geniuses??? Have you ever been called a genius even by mistake?

So tell me what are the scales you want me to be measured on?

Academic? I am damn good and far better than you are. My marks will speak for it. I left my name behind, in the board of honors displayed in my college. I passed out as the topper of my department, unchallenged and unopposed. And I don’t have any broken years in my Academic calendar. And you know what, all those who I studied with and competed with were at least one year elder to me. And that didn’t even give them an edge, that is how good am with my skills.

Co Curricular Excellence? I presented more papers and projects then you would have even imagined and I topped all that. The quality of my papers and projects will talk for itself. And my final year project was a real life solution, which was lauded for its thoughtfulness and future scope. Yours I remember didn’t even work to meets its original stated purpose.

Extra Curricular? I was a part of College Fine Arts Club; my blog will talk about my levels of writing and poetry. I was known for my articulation and communication excellence as well. I can talk about any topic with head start, and you know what I don’t need time to prepare.

Professional life? You are yet to enter it, but when I was passing out of college. I had three multinational offers out of the 5 interviews I had attended. And I had beaten the competition by a huge margin and I had the respect of my interviewers.

Personal life? I had been useful to my family and friends. Even before someone asked for help I was there for them. I have at least a bunch of people who would count me in their list of Top 5 important persons of life? You have at least one? I made my time, skill and energy useful to every possible person around me without calculating what I would be getting in return. Have you made use of any of yours useful for anyone other than yourself?

My logical reasoning and deduction methodologies have been ranked the best by many. There are at least a handful of people who come to me for advice and opinion. What about you? Oh Ya, You need 100 people to put you on track. When you yourself are in need of help all the time, how on earth can you be of any help to others? I can work with lesser data and sometimes even work without even of a hint of data and succeed in meeting the desired outcome. You want to know why? Process and discipline is two sacred things. You on the other hand even with the entire platform set to perform, failed and just pointed fingers at others for your fault and inability.

Everyone has a reason to tell behind their failure. Even a terrorist will have a reason for their action. But is that what we want? To give reasons and point fingers at others, put the blame on others and remain perfect???

I created an Engineer with double my qualities and double my knowledge. Are you even eligible to call yourself an Engineer? At least a dozen of people would call me their role model. Do you even have an idea what are the qualities required to become one?

I was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award, across five batches of Engineers who are skilled and have set high standards for both themselves and others to follow. Not among my batch mates and solely on basis of theoretical records alone.

And also remember, I belong to an era where Engineering was for the skilled. The competition was tough and I didn’t had the luxury of lowered benchmarks or cheap competition like you had.

And I have never compromised my standards or stands for anything. Even if the whole world challenged me to change, I would have stood my ground and I never backed out of anything. I won respect not just from my comrades but also from my enemies. Though they hate me for what I am, they respect me for my skills and abilities.

And whatever I did I could tell it out loud. I never did anything under the dark shade. I never tried to maximize an opportunity or acted with selective amnesia. I never enjoyed a beer in another person’s expense and chose to forget it. I could never even think of even having a tea in another person’s money. What about you? Where are your morals when it comes to money? You park it aside or lock it deep within?

Let me be frank with you, if you want to talk in evolution basis, I am a human being and you are just a single-celled organism. You would need at least a couple of million years to come to my level provided you evolve. If you want to talk in terms of the life journey, mine has crossed many light years and yours put together are still to touch a complete a Planck Length.

Let me put it in simple words for you, whatever is the scale you used to measure. You are a lot less the base unit of any measurement system and I am lot more than the maximum measurable quantity in the same measurement system.

So get a hold of yourself and give yourself a tight slap and just mind your own business. Don’t even dream in your dreams about being better than anyone else. You are not only little less than the base unit of a measurement system but also at the bottom most level of being called a human being too.

Legend On Last Legs …

Time is a worst enemy, It catches you when you are not ready. Its neither about the statistics nor about the records he broke and created. Its about the way Sachin Played cricket. Every time he walks into the field you can see that he is at war with the entire world, that is how he played his cricket. He gave his all, never held back even once. He compromised a lot for his career, he gave up his bowling because he wanted to continue batting. He compromised his strokes, he battled himself for his last few years.

Many say Lara was a greater player and Sachin was selfish, If you see Lara might have scored at a better average in matches West Indies Won. Lara never might have taken defeats into his mind or heart, He was more of a warrior fighting for his own cause but Sachin wasn’t like that. Every time when the team lost, you can see that look on Sachin’s face which will be identical to the kid who lost his first match of his life time. Wondering what he could have given more to end up on a winning side.

There was not as much pressure on Lara, Kallis or Ponting to go and deliver every time they went out on the field to bat. But for Sachin he was a God in the country where cricket was a religion. The followers can never see their God failing and didn’t accept that he was human. He was  a Demi – God, he was above everyone else playing the game in all aspects, be it the commitment, dedication or the way he played the game.

There has been occasions where I have seen a match where India lost from comfortable position, I would have broken down into tears and would have sworn to God would never I will watch another match. But on the next match would have sat glued in-front of the Television, without even blinking the eye. Those heart breaks and tears were somewhat compensated when Sachin took revenge for us.

Most of the time he scored runs when it mattered and also scored runs when the team has lost. Its was not his fault, after all he was just a demigod had he had the powers to take 5 wickets and century every time he went into field he would have been completely GOD.

There has been occasions when he was batting the opposition was searching for cheat codes to disable God Mode.  During the double century, that ball from Steyn which was full outside off stump was dispatched to the boundary on the leg side. The look on Steyn’s face said it all.

The back to back centuries in Sharjah against Aussies was the first time I was glued to the Television. There were loads of comments saying it was against a weak Australian attack which didn’t feature McGrath. Well then again don’t we remember Sachin taking on McGrath, He has taken on all the fast bowlers who threatened other batters. There were comments every time he went on to field, No one stone fruitless trees.

The look on Ponting’s at the last few minutes of CB series Final 1 and Final 2, were the proof of his potential. He might have faulted in many finals, many times when it mattered but when you see everyone under pressure, he has delivered it more often than others. Ponting on the fading days of his career with an ordinary team struggled more and would have felt how it was to meet the expectation to deliver every time when you get out on the field.

Kallis was on another league, he is little more than a Demigod as he can bowl and pick wickets too. That made him more accomplished and mentally stronger. Sachin might not have scored century in the world cup final like Ponting did but had made everything in his powers to push his team through. In 2003 World cup, he failed twice and with that went the countries dreams too.

The great thing about the guy was, not once he was arrogant. He played for a single cause and respected those who sledged him as well.

End of the day, after he has bowed out. When you see him play in the forth coming IPL or Tests all those who criticized him will feel. He could have continued for few more years.

Sachin had nothing to prove, nothing to conquer but he went on and on just to make sure that the can play as much cricket as possible. Its like the child’s mind on summer vacation where he wants to play as much as possible before the school begins.

He was the greatest servant of the game and served it better than anyone else could ever think of.  He will play test cricket till the time he can. Every time something was thrown at him he let his bat speak on the ground.

The little man is at war with himself, He will conquer and will emerge victorious.

Ricky Ponting – The Legend, We Never Liked or Loved …

Ricky Ponting as he bows out of International cricket, Somehow it feels heavy. As a die hard Indian cricketing fan and Sachin‘s fan, I never liked or loved Ponting. And I am sure that is how the whole India would have felt about Ponting. But We all had followed his last couple of years like he played for India, It was to make sure that he bites dust. We prayed as much as we did, when he went out to Bat, Just like we pray for Sachin but what we prayed for was completely opposite. And 1.2 billion prayers don’t go waste.

Ricky has been the rich spoiled kid of Australian cricket but a talented one too. Steve Waugh commanded respect and we did pay him respect though he was an Australian captain but we never liked Ponting no matter how good he was. I mentioned him as a rich spoiled kid, because he had like three best bowlers in his team, the best wicket keeper batsmen, best all rounder along with best opening batsmen and rigorous middle order batsmen in his team. Whether he captained it or been a part, what else can you ask more. All of them in the team were match winners on their own and even if two performed you can Win a game. Losing was something which was a far possibility, like a miracle that is so out of question.

Ponting allowed everyone in the team to play cricket in their own way, he encouraged sledging. Steve Waugh never encouraged sledging but never said NO to it either. When every team had a star in their team, Ponting had the team of stars. That allowed him to carry the legacy of Steve Waugh to heights. When he was given the captain role, he was the king of the empire which was humongous, all that he needed to do was to maintain it. As it was the entire cricket under their control, you had nothing more to get.

But in the later half of career, after the retirements of the stars in the team came the real test. The last couple of years or so Ponting had to bat like Sachin or Lara, every game he had to score loads and loads of runs without any support. And what it was like to lose a match after scoring loads of runs. What it was to be a part of misfiring team, What it was like to carry the team on shoulders, What it was like the only hope of the cricket fans from the country.

He might be the only Australian cricket who had biggest highs and biggest lows too. Being in the best team in the world for most of his career, being a part of world cup winning team that too consecutively and under his captaincy they were undefeated in two world-cup campaigns, with most number of test wins and played along with more players, scoring more runs in the test arena only next to Sachin Tendulkar. But Losing three Ashes, Being in the team as Ex Captain and struggling to justify his place in the team. He was like a myth whom no one seemed to believe, that is how his last three years were.

I followed his last three years religiously, but after all this now I feel for what I asked. It could have ended in a better way, It was so sad to see him lose his stumps, balance and pride when he was cleaned up by Kallis Yorker. It was predicted that he will lose Ashes and for sure won’t win World Cup again, I knew he will lose captaincy and stay on for few more years to move to the final fight for Ashes. He could have continued on ODIs but he chose to retire there as he wanted to concentrate on Test and Get him Battle hardened for Ashes, he wanted to clean his slate at least a little before leaving. That was the only thing that kept him going, but he completely lost everything that had been his for all his years.

Now that you are no more chasing behind anything, now that you are no more our enemy and now that you are no more who you were all these years. We can tell you that we loved you as much we hated you, we always wanted someone like you in the team. When camera showed your face while you were close to losing a test, we laughed but it hurt too, that commitment you had we could never find in our team. We will remember you for the 2003 world cup century, you will be haunting us always, you changed our dreams into nightmare that night. You will be remembered for the determination you always had, like example out of nowhere, just with sheer determination and no confidence you scored a century in 2012 world cup.

Mate you played cricket like we always wanted someone to play, but you played it all against us. We will miss you. You will be remembered not for the records or numbers but for the way you played.

This is a good bye we always wanted to say, but now it seems so shallow…

“Good Bye, Mate… Cricket will miss you !!! “

Midlife Crisis Of A Middle Class Middle Aged Man…

This post is intended to all those, who after reading this post feel like some part of their problem is addressed in this post or they can correlate some part of their life to things mentioned in this post.

This is about the guys who come from a middle class family, who watching many films gets so inspired and starts to think that he can change his family’s fortunes with his job. All these wrong thoughts are mainly motivated by the Regional movies where the hero turns into a millionaire from a pauper in a single song.

The guy when he is passing out of the college gives a feel to others that they are deadweight and he is the chosen one when he passes through all the hurdles and grabs a job in some company where his salary will be in few grand’s. He is especially happy with the fact that his first month salary will be something more than his father or any other earning person he knew in his family. He feels like he is unique and he is tiger born into a cat family. He starts to count the days left to take off, and finally that day comes. With heart filled with happiness and eyes filled with dreams he enters his office and finds that he is unique and different just like everyone else present there. There is no identity that he has got for his own.

The few grand’s which looked very big before he joined looks simply nothing when he gets it in his hand. Now all those who he thought were hopeless in college someway or the other got one job or another and got somehow settled in life.

The few grand’s after many appraisals become few more grand’s but nothing else has changed in his life. He still waits for the dramatic turn around to happen; his family’s fortune still remains on his shoulders. He sacrifices all his happiness and becomes a scapegoat to provide his family all that they want. All those dreams he had about spending the extra money that he will have with him after giving enough to his family seems a distant mirage. He seems himself like “a dog trying to catch his own tail”. Though he knows he will never make it, but then he can never give up on it too.

All his college days he focused only on getting a job and never showed any interest in girls, even to those girls who approached him was treated like some APSARAS trying to disturb saint’s THAPAS. There were days when girls were behind him, now every time he sees a couple [not the married couples] anywhere in temples, bus, train, theatres, restaurants, parks and any other place where you see couples. He feels so inferior and thinks that he belongs to some other origin of species. Sometimes he even feels like shooting them down if only he had a gun but then he can’t stop himself from starring at them. He gets more depressed when he sees married couples, he thinks about the countless occasions where he had a chance but the left it because it was not his choice of life.

All his friends who were girls, whom he used to talk hours together, are now happily married and no one has anytime to spare to him. His mobile bills stats are degrading with every month. After months, he realizes that he doesn’t really need a phone. There is no one to call him, text him or wish him at midnight on his birthdays. He just becomes a forgotten past in everyone’s life.

He regrets his decisions now, which he thought he had done after enough thinking to make sure he won’t regret in the future. With everyone he used to call friends getting married, his rage grows uncontrolled with every invitation that he receives. In all those marriages he keeps thinking about only one thing, someday I will also get married to a girl far better than any of the others got married to. But soon he realizes that his marriage itself is uncertain, so saying it out loud will only have adverse effects. So he keeps it to himself.

He starts to lose hair and his age goes into the wrong side of the twenties, which is when he becomes more and more depressed. He is clueless about which one to google about, the dating tips? or hair loss prevention?. He gets very desperate and tries to get a girl for himself but all that he gets back in reply is something similar to trying to book Diwali ticket in tatkal in IRCTC. Either you get connection timed out or Reservation against cancellation, you know that you can never get it and after sometime you quit on trying.

On the other hand you see some seniors in his office older than he who were still unmarried finally get married, they give him hope and he finally gets himself convinced that there is someone for everyone.

But wait a second life doesn’t end after marriage, marriage is just the beginning of life isn’t it? After marriage, separate house, kids, home loan, car loan, fees, blah blah blah. He is more scared than he was during his exams he thinks of his bank balance, which is remotely nowhere away from ZERO.

Now his heart starts pumping more and more fast and he has to make a decision, a decision which he shouldn’t regret in his future. He says to himself, let me think over it and make a decision so that I will never ever regret in the future.

He tries to find one such decision he took in life but then finally he remembers there is not a single decision in his life which fits the bill. For him his life seems to be caught in a heavy traffic on an one way, he neither can turn back nor can move forward.  He can move only as much as he is allowed to move.

Finally he looks up at the sky and says it loud “GOD, Am I the Bug in your Design?”

India is full of shit eh? What did you do to change it?

It all started when I posted the below content in my FaceBook Wall yesterday,

Translation
If any of your college mate or School mate is pinging you in FB or Gtalk after many years, Well it is to say proudly that he has gone abroad…
I am just so eager to know, Well what do you expect me to say?
God Bless that country, from you lunatic???

There were lot of people supporting my post, but there comes one of the person I know [ I wouldn’t say he is my friend, because he is not really my friend ] saying “India is not such a good country,  and there is too much of caste riots here .” I am someone who doesn’t get irritated or disturbed so easily. I am no”as cool as a cucumber” types but I am no so “short tempered idiot” as well.

First and fore most question I would like to ask all these A__h___s is this, Well we all know that this country is not a good country. What the hell have you done to change it? Have you even think of moving your muscle to to change a thing? And the biggest bullshit that everyone gives is America has so much of technology and facilities, Dubai is clean, Germany is that, Australia is this blah blah blah. Let me tell you one thing for everyone who thinks India is not a good country. Its not a good country because it has people who use of all the resources from this country and still call it a bad country.

Let me talk about few countries which most of us think is heaven on earth,

America : All that America has is dollars, the most powerful currency in the universe. What else? Technology? America does not have native Genius in its history all those great people who have contributed to the American technology are people who have been bought from other countries with Money and Money alone. We all know the statistics about how many Indians work in IBM, How many doctors in America are Indians and how many employees of Microsoft are Indians. These numbers just keep increasing every year. Well where did they get all their money from? Is it hard earned? All those idiots who don’t know history please go back and read Petro dollar scam, which is the whole source behind America’s power. I guess I failed to mention this in most of the call centers they teach 10=35 the logic behind this formula is “Remember, a 35-year-old American’s brain and IQ is the same as a 10-year-old Indian’s.” So when you talk to them be as explanatory as you can be, because they are dumb. All those b______s who talk about caste riots in India? Americans are the biggest Racists of all time, They tell to their children that “if you don’t study properly an Indian will grab your job”. Americans don’t subtract, they add. They suck in mathematics.

You go to super market in America, but things for say $71, You give the cashier $101. It will take the cashier minimum half a day to figure out that he needs to give you $30 back. As a matter of fact he needs calculator the whole time to perform calculations.

Dubai: Well the most cleanest country they claim to be, you know what you are not allowed to wear your religious symbols, that’s the first thing. That country as it own rules. If you look at a girl [ though you can’t figure out anything about her as she is completely in Bhurka ] Your eyes will be plucked out. This country doesn’t give a damn about your religion. You need to fast along with any other Islamic person for the whole month of Ramjan. A matter of fact, Muslims are safer in India than any other Islamic country. Do you know that boss?

Let me stop here, I can talk shit about any country you say, but just stop for a minute and think. Have you ever heard an American say America is shit? or a Japanese is say Japan is a junk yard? or a Israeli says Israel is full of blood? No…. Never, none of the people who will call their country shit, bad, or junk yard but its only we  Indians keep saying it.

Yes, this country is full of unemployment, poverty, corruption, scams, and everything bad you can say is there on the planet. Well these things are not just here in this country. Its everywhere, I mean its on every country in this planet? You go to a country doesn’t meant you went to rule that country. You are just a paid labor  there, Its not like software engineer’s in India are collecting cow dung, and software engineers in America are working on computers.

Just understand one thing, this country has shown the whole world the values of human life, greatness, humbleness, and many more things. This country has buildings and architectures which are more than 2000 years old and standing tall. The Leaning tower of Pisa, which is a symbol of bad design and architecture, which has been built for 177 years in three stages is a wonder. There are temples in India, which are more than 2000 years old, Standing still amidst all natural forces as they were built, A perfect example of Design and Architecture,  and guess what such temples are built only with in a maximum span of 10 years. The biggest temple in the whole world is constructed by an Indian king.  Our ancestors were so clever than us, they calculated tomorrows sun rise even before 2000 years itself. It was Indians who framed the positions of star, perimeter of earth and many more things before anyone could find.

It was Indians who found that the whole evolution which Darwin talked about his whole life, started from water living creature. The Bhagavata Purana, which explains the ten forms of Lord Vishu is the indirect explanation to the whole world about the evolution of species. Puspaka Vimana is nothing but something similar to a plane in those days, Kurukshetra where the Pandavas and Gauravas fought the epic battle of Mahabharatha has nuclear radiations similar to that of what we get in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Thirunageswaram, where the famous temple of the navagraha Saturn is built is the whole place in whole earth where the radiations of Saturn are more intense.

There are many more things that the Indians, our ancestors have done which even the modern technology can’t match or can understand. So before you say ” India is full of shit” , just look around and make sure I am not around. If you fail to do that and I am there in close proximity. Then you wont have a mouth to say those words again, because I will break all your teeth.

If you have even tried changing this country, then you have some reasons to complain about it. Yes its a rusty old system, its a sewage, its dirty. Well just complaining about is is not gonna make it clean. If you want to make it clean, come join hands we can clean it together. Else just keep your mouth shut and get lost you selfish creature. You don’t have anything in you to talk about this country.

The Official Flashmob Video and The Story of the Official Flashmob Video…

Well, here is the post which I promised sometime back, I guess I took more time than I thought I will take, lets just say that work kept me away from blogging for quite sometime time.

First the official video is up and ready to treat your eyes…

Disclaimer : All those Perverts, Don’t just concentrate on the Girls, As there are guys also dancing in this event.

If you don’t watch it carefully, you will miss me. So please do watch with undivided attention.

Well, let me first say that making of the official video itself is a great story by itself. First collecting the videos was a great mission. In every video we could see at 10 people capturing the event but we didn’t get even 5 versions to start with. Finding people who had cameras and who used their cameras when the event was going on, Why I say this is because, there were some MORONS who just saw the whole event through the camera but forgot to press the record button. [ The rage grows more When, you had trusted those guys to cover you and you were always looking into that camera thinking that it will cover you and its capturing only you ]

The other thing which was a challenge by itself is deciding which camera angle to use, because every camera angle when you see it looks to be the best. I should thank Dilip for his awesome patience, Oh… I didn’t say who Dilip is eh? Okies… Dilip is the guy who put his hands up and said that he will do the video editing and help us make the official video. I wouldn’t have said it, If I was him :P, probably he too would have said NO if he had even the slightest idea of what it is going to be like.

I should say that Moumita was at it again, on her toes collecting all the video that she could get and putting it the sequence and the camera angles to be used. It was like we have crossed half the well, lets cross it completely kind of stuff. Everyday she puts more efforts than the previous day, or I should say everyday we made sure that she had put more efforts than the previous day. Not just collecting the videos, removing the duplications, finding the best camera angle and handing it over to Dilip and giving him the directions. Well it was loads of work and she managed it all alone.

Dilip, I should say is a man of patience. He doesn’t look like one but he sure is. I had at least seen 4 versions minimum before we came something close to becoming the official video. Trust me video editing is lot complicated than painting, Its more of skills than brains, You need to have loads of patience and good editing capabilities and more than all a good PC. Or else your PC will be converting your edited video into movie for 12 years or something close to that.

Dilip never gave up on the video, even when I had given up on it. The most funniest thing was to identify people in the video Dilip has asked for individual pictures of our group. When we had sent out a mail for the same, most of the guys [ I nominated myself being the ONE and ONLY contact point for girls to send their pictures, but NO GIRL sent me a picture ] thought we asked pictures from them for searching girls that they can marry. All the pictures I received were like that.

One thing I understood clearly during this making of the official flash mob video, I felt it or vaguely understood the same during flashmob. This time it was as clear as the sky during the nights, more than one in anything is always going to cause confusion everywhere.

To sum it all, I would say this. Creating the official flashmob video was difficult than organizing the flashmob itself, because delivering a child is more difficult than conceiving the child itself.

PS : All those who are gonna send offline pings about its more of her or him. Let me say one thing here itself. I don’t have to praise anyone for something which they never did. All my praise to someone will be only for one reason, Someone will get praise from me, only if they did something which is worth Praising.

Freaking Friday-Flash Mob…

Couple of weeks back, I didn’t even know what a FLASH MOB meant. Had someone asked me what it meant, I would have replied “Gimme sometime, I will Google and tell you”. But I was a part of the flash mob that happened in my company on last Friday. Hard to believe, but then that is a state of fact.

Many people come up with ideas, only a few come up with crazy ideas, I should say I have a great friend who is crazy enough to come out with such an idea. She told me that she was watching one of the flash mob videos over the net and thought lets do one in our company.

There are two kinds of inspirations, one is that you see the best of the things and you want to replicate it in your own way. There is another which is the worst of the things and you feel “what the hell? I can do better”. Which kind of inspiration she got from that video, I am yet to understand as I haven’t watched that video myself.

Then again there are lot of people who come out with ideas, but only a countable take a step towards realizing theirs. She was among the elite league of people who chase their ideas till the time it becomes success. The thing about such people is that, if the share such ideas for the first time the look they get back is “What a lunatic?”, but then that is what makes them great people. History reckons the same, all people who got lunatic looks while presenting their ideas, went on to become famous scientists in the history. Don’t start thinking too much, she is nothing as great as the scientists but then she is great. She is none other than Moumita Nandi, those who know her obviously will know how great she is but then again all these introduction about her was meant for people who don’t know her.

When she first asked me whether I know what a Flash Mob meant, I told her exactly “Gimme sometime, I will Google and tell you”, She gave me the exact “what a lunatic?” look, isn’t that obvious. then I took my own sweet time to understand what it meant and the conversation went ahead. She told me she has some videos of flash mob, she wanted me to go through all that and said “We are going to do one in our office.” I was like where did this come from, all that I was worried at that point of time was, I should escape this somehow rather than trying to help. She went on telling what it will be like and all that, I seriously wanted to help but then again, looking at the crowd getting the people and on top that making them all dance is not something where I specialize. Even if I can manage all of that, There was another obstacle which was there, I cant be a part of the group where people talk Hindi or things which are remotely close to Hindi as my linguistic skills were limited to English, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada [ Telugu and Kannada I can comprehend] Like any other Tamilian, that is a torture that I wont be able to withstand.

But then Moumita had a heart of steel, she went ahead to find people who can help her out getting people, setting up the initial pace for the event and I was only a mere listener to the progress that was happening, though I was interested to join the group my work kept me on the sidelines. It was almost one week into the event, things were like lighting up. I heard from Moumita that there is Prashanth and Hari to help her with setting up the event. She said they spoke to the HR and convinced them and got the permission, spoke to admin and got permission to practice on the terrace after the office time. She also said that there are few people who are there and the practice was making good progress. It was all Prashanth and Hari who pulled in the initial set of people and the crazy idea of Moumita was actually trying to get real.

I gradually got pulled in and I was taken aback when I went to the practice for the first time, I am usually a kind person whom of bad omen comes along with. When I went there the lights were not working and not many people turned up that day. I thought I should stop going but then the next day more number of people turned up and I saw the steps they have formed so far. There were some good dancers, Ravi, Krishnabir, Deepa and Sharath were those who sent shivers down my spine. Because if the choreographing is done by people who dance well, only good dancers can be a part of the show. That is what I thought on the first looks, but then looks always deceive you, those people can think so down to earth and they managed the steps according to the kind of people who joined. We needed more and more people, that is when we thought of taking it to the next level. Moumita took the initiative because we didn’t have all the time in world left for it, we were running out of the time and it was only another one week left for the day it was planned to happen. That is when Moumita suggested that we should reach to the next level of people through the current people we had. Its like “My friends friend is my friend”, That is where I have to mention this special person Tessita Thomas, rocked the floor she had got in as many people as one can think of. I tried my best to pull in more people like everyone in the team.

The songs were finalized and it was all going in the right direction, when your captain is the one who is leading you from the front how can things go wrong? Moumita I should say was a captain under whom anyone would love to work, A leader under whom everyone would love to follow. She was strict where she had to be and she was open to discussion. Monopoly was a word that she didn’t even heard off. There were people contributing in all possible ways, with ideas, suggestions, opinions and many more that kept it so lively. More than all of these, people enjoyed every single practice sessions, each and everyone was more concerned about their dance and also about their friends. The team we gathered became a TEAM and it started to move on its own. As a leader all Moumita need to do was to steer in the right direction.

The formation and song sequencing was all fine and my brain was put to work after many years. I was never a part of any dance events after my school days. I was happy that I was able to contribute to the team. I did the sound mixing, It was not a great thing, there was this audcity software, All I needed to do was to add some transition between the songs. The way the steps went it was all good and easy to catch up with. The good dancers had the hardest steps and the others had do able steps which though looked complicated was really easy after two rounds of practice. Had to mention Vivek who was constant support throughout the event and his suggestions were second to none and added more value

We thought of doing a trial and when we did the trial it was almost like the real thing, We all froze on the day and time. It was on Friday during cake cutting in the cafeteria, The day that followed was our company’s family day. We initially planned to remove three rows of table but to our surprise and advantage all the tables were moved and the heart beats were raising as the clocks moved towards the 5.25 PM mark. Its like a movie climax right when we wanted to play the music the technician was missing, And it just added to the tension. First thing we need to keep in mind is that when there is a choice with FOOD and any thing other than FOOD, People will prefer FOOD. Finally he came and we started the music, the crowd was already waiting by the time we started.

The good thing about the good dancers is that they are spontaneous. They do steps which they themselves don’t remember. If they dance for the song on their own, without frozen steps they wont be able to do the steps that they did during the first time on the second time. But the second time the steps will be far better than the first time. They can think on the fly and make steps accordingly. Krishnabir, Ravi, Sharath and Deepa where really those people who live up to the name of good dancers. The way Ravi entered performed, was awesome but none of us including Ravi knew what are the steps he was going to perform :P. Krishnabhir and Sharath the way they lit-up Ravi’s performance was awesome and off all the things they way Deepa entered and took her position was mind blowing Though everyone was laughing like it was some toothpaste advertisement rather than a flash mob, it was OK. When practicing, we all used watch each other and enjoy like anything but in the real show it was like we all were too busy thinking off our steps and our minds were focused only on that.

The show went as planned and it was a big hit. There were almost 200 cameras which would have captured our performance, but the funny thing was even after the show was over, the crowd was still expecting more… The JOSH and FUN was something which was just next to the excitement I had when I joined my company. That Friday was something which will go down as the best day in the company I ever spent till date. Arranging the cameras and fixing the camera positions and getting the laptops were something which was as good as running a project on its own. There were lot more people who made this event possible, we did a flash mob but in process we have also created a good team. I feel like I am back again as a fresher because after the flash mob there is a never ending mail chain, which is still going on. Gathering the videos is again another story of its own, I guess setting up the cameras and gathering videos will be a separate post.

Thanks guys, thank you all for the fun and entertainment. Thanks to the choreographers [Krishnabir, Ravi, Deepa and Sharath] for the steps, Thanks to Tessita for getting the second bunch of people who injected the fresh blood into the whole team, Thanks to Prashanth and Hari for getting in the initial bunch of people. And all those beautiful girls [All the girls in the team were beautiful], who were the crowd pullers and kept the attention of both the crowd and cameras on them. Thanks to the crowd, though those guys had come for cake they didn’t stick to the cake table alone.

Well am I forgetting something or someone?, Lemme think…. oh Moumita, oh ya I really missed thanking her. If I thought I had more tolerance, I need to look up to her. If I thought I had more creativity I need to look up to her. If I thought I get more ideas, I need to look up to her. Look up to her and do what? Look up to her and understand that she is a lot more than she looks. Thanks for the great idea without which there wouldn’t be this flash mob. If there was no flash mob then what will we be all bragging about.

I have thanked all the organizers who were the backbone of this event and with the way they have contributed. If you find anyone’s name missing, then it surely means they aren’t worth mentioning as they didn’t actually did anything, besides showing off. 😛

Though I write this much, the easiest thing to make make you readers understand is to see the link which is shared below

because a picture can explain what 1000 words fails to explain. Then I guess a video will make us all understand what any words can explain.

PS: My brain is a volatile memory, If in case I missed any part of the event or missed out any funny event that happened this course please do mention the same so that I can add it to the actual post.

A Night without Money and Mobiles…

Well I am no great player in any game I know to play. I just get involved, and off late have been so interested in playing badminton and have been spending most of my evening in the Badminton court. Have got a great gang in my office who are all interested as much as I am or even more than me. As always Yesterday also I was off to the court around 6.45 PM to start playing. When I usually play I keep my wallet and mobile phones [ I carry two mobiles, one my Tamil Nadu number and another my Karnataka number ] somewhere near the court so that I can play freely.

Yesterday also I did the same, I had kept my Mobiles and Wallet but had dropped those into my Friends bag so that I don’t keep them on ground. We got into serious playing and it just went on till 9. When I was about to leave I realized that my Mobiles and Wallet are missing and only my ear phones are lying. Then I realized that the friend of mine had left around 8.15 PM and I was so involved in playing I didn’t realize that he is leaving and I should collect my Wallet and Mobiles.

As always the panic kicked in… I was trying to remember my colleague number so that I can call him up and inform. But ever since Mobiles phones came into existence, we all forgot about dialing numbers and we rarely remember any number other than our own number. The guys who were playing with me were also from my Domain only but they are into different projects and hence they didn’t had any of my Project mate’s number.

One of the friend around who could understand my panic said,  “Don’t worry I will try to get his number, will call him and tell him about your mobiles and Wallet. If I couldn’t get his number I will call you and tell you”. I said “fine”. Later we both realized that My mobile is also not with me and we Just laughed.

I started home and thoughts were wild in my dreams. I remembered my Dad’s number and one of my close friend’s number I was planning to call them and call my mobile so that my colleague will pick the call ask him for his number and call me back and give his number, so that I can call him and tell him that my mobile and wallet was with him. This looked a great idea, just like what you get in your team meetings. Then I thought about it for the second time and understood there were only loop holes in that idea.

By the time I got down, I figured out that I will give a call to my number if my friend picks up I will tell him to bring my mobiles and wallet tomorrow. 😀 . Well one part of the problem was handled, but I had only 6 Rs left with me. After the call I was left with only 5 Rupees.

It was like almost after 7 years I was left with a meager amount of money with me and I had to get through it. Last it happened was in my college second year or so where I had only 6 rupees with me and I had to get back to my house. I spent all I had on the bus ticket and walked almost 8 Km to reach home. That too in late night. 😛

I went to the Bakery where I usually have my dinner and was very hesitant how to say that I am bank corrupt. This was an unfamiliar territory to me as I was always the one who the people around me came to when they needed to borrow money most of the times. Rarely I had to borrow and that to had come so far without me really asking for the same. Words were stumbling in my mouth as it will happen during the viva voice of your practical. You end up with the question to which the guy who is asking himself wont know the answer. I managed to put it up together and all he said was that was not at all a problem. I realized there are still people for whom money matters but its not money alone matters for them…

The next biggest task was to get up early in the morning, usually my mobile will ring the alarm which I will snooze minimum 5 times before I get up. The second most important thing is how to tell people that I cant reply to the messages that they keep sending to me, I had told my colleague to switch off my mobile as at-least people will stop messaging me once the messages are not getting delivered. While writing this post, I am sitting in office after spending most of the night awake like, we do on the night before the day we are set to meet the most important person of our life [ Obviously of the opposite sex ] in the fear of missing the time line or imagining that we will oversleep. But in the end caught the office bus without much fuss and eagerly waiting to get back my Wallet and Mobile.

We all love Rock Music but not late in the evening…

Well its been a long time, since I scribbled something in my blog. Probably Nobody around me provocative enough I should say.. This happened day before yesterday, I was so furious I wanted to blog about this yesterday itself. But then I thought let me sleep over it and then write it with a peaceful mind.

I was back in my office almost after three weeks, I was seating hard in my client office to bring the project on track.  I was badly missing my office and playing badminton, I was finally back in office on Wednesday and felt relieved. Wednesday evening played badminton and was leaving by 9PM bus. That was almost my usual routine before I had been deputed in client office. The 9PM bus is usually a tempo traveler. So its like very congested,  after playing for 3 hours you do get tired. Usually the journey back home in the 9PM bus is very dreamy one as everyone slips into sleeping mode and sleep deeply with a fear of missing their stop running somewhere in the back of their mind.

I too was in the same mood, when I entered the bus and as I was a traditional back bench-er, I chose the last seat as I always do and was hoping to find some sleep soon.  There were few freshers who were sitting next to me in the last seat. They were on with their usual chit chats and suddenly one of them turned on his mobile and started playing some rock songs  but on loudspeaker. I was in the middle of getting some sleep and now I realized I was nowhere near to it. Initially I thought he is going to play one song and will put it back on ear phones, but that bloody fellow went on and on with it. He was playing one after the other and it was just becoming a nuisance and I bet everyone felt the same.

Well I appreciate their taste and their love for rock music, one of them was echoing the lines. I really felt that was fantastic and another was comparing one with another and was saying which was the best. Well the knowledge that they had or which I lacked was mind blowing. But then wait a second, this people who were with such rich sense towards music, why were they kept talking about things about one girl, who sung one rock song in their college. One said he immediately became her fan after hearing her sing and later changed his decision knowing that she is married [ So dude tell me one thing. What was your real interest??? ] and another who was so curious to know whether she was conservative or not [ What were you looking for??? ].

Ok let me not get into judging personalities, this harassment went on for close to an hour. It was getting on my nerves I was close to say “I really appreciate your collection and love the quality of the music that your mobile delivers, I believe you spent lot of time in this, please do spend some of your time about manners too. We all love to hear Rock music but not this late in the evening.” but I kept myself under check, I didn’t wanted to ruin the image that they were trying to build in-front of the fresher girls.

I switched myself into thinking mode, what makes these kids spoiled brats??? Is that the carelessness of the parents ? Or that they fail to understand the value of money ??? or this the impact of the Western culture??? or This the IT evolution???

The common public finds everyone in the IT community as these brats but wait a second, there are people in IT community though they earn in Lakhs they think 100 times before spending 1 rupees. There are people in IT community who prefer walking for 3 KM rather then paying BMTC 8 rupees. There are people in IT community who prefer taking BMTC rather than taking an auto. Well finally it all boils down to the respect that you have towards money, if you don’t know hard it is to earn then you wont think about spending it.

May be this is why you see people spending 20 thousands and 30 thousands on the phone, whereas somewhere in the same country there is a farmer who is committing suicide because he is unable to repay the 10 thousand rupee loan that he had taken.

How can you make someone realize the value of money? When your dad paid donation to your college to get a worthless fellow like you an Engineering seat? When a rich spoiled brat like you manage to pass the exams because the lecturer is also an useless fellow like you who didn’t get through in industry as the standards were high? And you end up with an offer only because the company had to recruit some after coming all the way to your college. Your dad finally says you don’t have to give money to home and keep your salary yourself?

If you can make these people understand the value of money, then you can teach colors to the blind….
